    Description

    Antique circa early 1900's pre-prohibition 'to-go' carboard beer container. Double graphics feature a Teddy Roosevelt-esque gentleman holding a beer stein with text reading 'Take Me Home / Full Of Beer'. Lower edge reads 'This printed container sold exclusively by PESIN BROS 351 Palisade Ave. JERSEY CITY, N.J.'. Lid Reads 'The Air-Vent Cover / U.S. Pat. 2002564(?) / Marathon Sanitary Packing Service'. Base has embossed 'Marathon Can / One Quart Liquid' as well as smaller industrial text. No information on this item was uncovered in research, so this is likely a very rare, possibly one of a kind, piece of breweriana history.
