This card was purchased in Paris, France by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.
This postcard was shipped from The Netherlands to the USA by Lotje.
On the front of this vintage black and white postcard is a photo portrait of some Saint Bernard dogs with children and puppies.   The pose is heartwarming!  Under the portrait is a caption in French.
On the back is some handwriting in English, a 1954 date and an address in the USA.   The postcard was originally made in Switzerland.  Around the perimeter is a lovely scalloped edge.
Measurements are approximately: 3.5" x 5.5" so this is a standard size postcard.  There are some very small signs of wear as shown above (mostly around the perimeter) but the postcard is still easy to see and appreciate!  It is delightful!
